What is a Chain Block?
A Chain Block (also known as a hand chain hoist) is a mechanism used to lift and lower heavy loads using a chain. Chain blocks contain two wheels which the chain is wound around. When the chain is pulled, it winds around the wheels and begins to lift the item that is attached to the rope or chain via a hook. Chain Blocks can also be attached to lifting slings or chain bags to lift the load more evenly.
How Does a Chain Block Work? 
A Chain Block contains a lifting chain, a hand chain and a grabbing hook. Most chain blocks are operated using electricity, but manual chain blocks can be used too. First, the chain block needs to be connected to the load via the grabbing hook. Then when the hand chain is pulled, the chain tightens its grip on the wheel and forms a loop inside the mechanism causing a tension which lifts the load from the ground. 
What is a Chain Block used for? 
Due to its lifting capabilities, Chain Blocks are commonly used in garages where they are able to remove engines from cars easily. Because they can be operated by one person, Chain Blocks are a wonderfully efficient way to complete jobs which may have taken more than two workers to do. 
Chain Blocks are also used on construction sites where they can lift loads from the higher levels, in assembly line factories to lift items to and from the belt and sometimes even to winch cars from a treacherous terrain.

TOYO manual chain block model TCB are for heavy duty use with long lasting reliability. High strength steel body and gear case are built to be durable for rugged needs of construction, mechanical and maintenance rigging. We have TCB with a lifting capacity of 500 kgs to 50,000 kgs. We use grade 80 alloy steel load chains. Made with Japanese design and technology, the guide plate helps to avoid slippage of load chain during usage versus the conventional guide rollers. Toyo chain hoist hooks are forged heat treated steel. The top hook is used to fix the hoist to the anchor point and bottom hook is the load hook, this is raised and lowered by simply pulling down the hand chain. TCB is being produced from first grade components which ensure maximum durability, rough and tough usage and longer service life. TCB hoists are economical and practical choice for efficient and trouble-free service. Product is widely used for lifting loads they can be used along with manual push trolley also. The products are proof load tested and supplied with a test certificate and user manual.

With its compact design, manual chain hoist is ideal for light weight robust construction. It comes with an automatic dual pawl breaking system. It has a double cover protection to ensure smooth operation. The manual chain hoist has a capacity that ranges from 0.5T to 50T. With its distinct features, heavy loads can be lifted with minimum effort. The galvanized zinc plating protects the chain hoist from corrosion and also features heavy-duty forged hooks which are fitted with safety latches as per standards. Consisting of high quality 80 alloy load chain, sealed bearing and extra thick asbestos free friction discs, this hoist is ideal equipment for construction.
